The Swiss-made fake Cartier Rotonde De Cartier Minute Repeater Mysterious Double Tourbillon combines a couple of prestigious complications into one time piece. Until you see it, or hear it. Which we didn’t, as Cartier reveals it at the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie in Geneva 2017. Which, in the world of watches, automatically leads to ridiculous long names no one can remember.
And there is another attraction, not clearly visible unless you know where it is. The minute repeater. At the 6 o’clock position you can see two hammers to strike the gongs, which can be seen around the movement. One for the hours (musical note B) and one for the minutes (musical note D). The minute repeater can be operated by the pusher at 5 o’clock. Basically, tourbillons counter the effect of gravity to improve the accuracy of a mens Cartier copy watch, which it undoubtedly does here. But moreover, it delivers a stunning visual effect on the dial.
Cartier’s Mysterious Double Tourbillon was first introduced in 2013 and it is a conventional-looking tourbillon embedded in a sapphire disk. The tourbillon rotates each 60 seconds, the sapphire disk rotates once every five minutes.
Cartier offers the Rotonde De Cartier Minute Repeater Mysterious Double Tourbillon in three versions. Titanium (on the photos and specs), platinum with diamond set bezel, and platinum with pavé diamond dial and bezel. All three are limited editions: 50 pieces, 30 pieces, and 20 pieces respectively.
The most clearly visible attraction is a flying tourbillon at 10 o’clock. Cartier calls it mysterious as it seems to float in the air. Or inside the mens fake Cartier Rotonde De tourbillon watch.
